Refund Policy
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase.
1. Overview
This Refund Policy explains when and how you can obtain a refund for products purchased from NextSoftware at nextsoftware.dev.
All purchases are processed by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com Market Ltd. ("Paddle"). Because Paddle is the seller of record for your transaction, refunds are governed by the Paddle Checkout Buyer Terms, which take precedence over any conflicting statement in this policy.
2. Your 14-Day Refund Right
You may request a full refund within 14 calendar days of the date of payment, for any reason and without giving any justification. This right applies to:
- One-time purchases of Joomla extensions, licenses and download IDs.
- The first payment of any subscription plan.
- Upgrade and renewal payments.
To exercise this right, contact us at [email protected] or open a ticket from your Customer Portal within 14 days of the transaction, quoting your order ID or Paddle transaction ID. You may also request a refund directly from Paddle using the receipt email sent to you at checkout, or via paddle.net.
3. How Refunds Are Processed
Approved refunds are issued by Paddle back to the original payment method. Processing times depend on your bank or card issuer and typically take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement. Paddle may contact you directly to verify your identity or payment details before processing the refund.
4. Effect of a Refund
Once a refund is issued:
- The associated download ID(s) and license(s) are revoked, and the product may no longer be downloaded or updated through our update server.
- Any active subscription tied to the refunded payment is cancelled.
- You agree to stop using, and to remove, the refunded software from all installations. Continued use after a refund is a breach of the End User License Agreement and of the Paddle Buyer Terms.
5. Subscriptions After the 14-Day Period
After the initial 14-day window, subscription renewals are non-refundable except where required by applicable consumer law. You may cancel an active subscription at any time from your Customer Portal or directly via Paddle; cancellation stops future renewals but does not retroactively refund past billing periods.
6. Exceptions and Anti-Abuse
Refunds may be denied or reduced, in line with the Paddle Buyer Terms, where there is evidence of:
- Fraud or chargeback abuse, including repeated refund requests across multiple accounts.
- License sharing or redistribution in violation of the End User License Agreement.
- Use of a refund request to circumvent paid support or paid upgrades after the product has been fully used.
These exceptions do not limit your statutory consumer rights where they apply.
7. Before You Purchase
To help you make an informed decision, we encourage you to:
- Review the product documentation and feature list.
- Try the extension on our demo server to see it in action.
- Check the system requirements (Joomla version, PHP version) for compatibility with your site.
- Ask a pre-sale question if you are uncertain about a specific feature or use case.
8. Disputes and Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact [email protected] first - we can almost always resolve issues faster than a bank dispute. You may also contact Paddle support via paddle.net. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in the suspension of your download IDs and account.
