Why Choose It

Next Task suits Joomla sites that want personal and shared task lists on their own site, with their own user accounts.

It is likely a good fit if

• You already use Joomla, or are happy to
• You want private lists for each person, plus sharing with users or usergroups
• You want tasks assigned to people, with reminders and a daily digest by email
• You want roles to decide who may do what, and to enable only the apps you need

It may not be the right fit yet if

• You need deeply nested tasks. Subtasks go one level deep, and they cannot repeat.
• You need several reminders for one task. There is one reminder per due date, and only for tasks with a time. Date-only tasks are covered by the digest.
• You need to edit while offline. Recently opened lists and tasks can be read, but changes are not saved offline.
• You want the installable app without HTTPS. Browsers install apps only from secure sites.
• You cannot run Joomla Scheduled Tasks. Reminders, the digest and maintenance run through them.
• Your platform is older than the requirements. See Compatibility.
