A task manager for Joomla: personal and shared task lists, one-level subtasks, recurring tasks, smart views, email reminders and a full REST API.

What It Does

Next Task gives every Joomla user a fast, focused task application — the familiar lists-and-checkboxes model, running on your own site and your own accounts. Tasks are private by default; any list can be shared with specific users or whole usergroups with view or edit permission, lists can belong to the whole team, and tasks can be assigned to anyone who can reach their list, who is then notified.

The application is a single-page app served by a Joomla component, in the administrator (Components > Next Task) and on the site through a menu item, embedded in the page or full screen, and installable on phones and computers. Roles decide who may do what, an App Manager switches features on and off, and bundled plugins integrate it with Joomla: REST endpoints on the Web Services application, Scheduled Task routines for reminders, the daily digest and maintenance, the User Actions Log, privacy (GDPR) export and removal, and clean-up when a user is deleted.

One package, pkg_nexttask, installs and enables everything:
