These are the benefits we see in Next Task's design. What you gain depends on how your site and team work, so treat this list as a starting point: adapt the software to your needs and you may find benefits of your own.

For site owners and administrators

Your own site and accounts: Next Task runs on your Joomla site, with your existing users and usergroups
One package: pkg_nexttask installs the component and its plugins and enables them
Only the features you want: the App Manager switches optional apps off and keeps their data
Clear permissions
- Roles go to users or usergroups
- Every permission is checked on the server
- Optional quotas limit personal lists and open tasks per list
Privacy tooling: data appears in Joomla's privacy export and removal requests

For team leads

Native to Joomla: uses Scheduled Tasks, Web Services, the User Actions Log and privacy requests
Open to integration: a REST API with the same permissions as the app
Adjustable wording: email texts and front-end strings can be changed with Language Overrides, without touching code
