Installation

Download

Download the latest plugin package (plg_smartlocalgoogleanalytics_vX.XX.zip) from nextsoftware.dev.

Install

1. Log in to your Joomla administrator panel
2. Go to System > Install > Extensions
3. Drag and drop the ZIP file onto the upload area, or click Browse for file and select it
4. Joomla will install the plugin and display a success message

Enable the Plugin

The plugin is disabled by default after installation:

1. Go to System > Manage > Plugins
2. Search for Smart Local Google Analytics
3. Click the status icon to enable it, or open the plugin and set Status to Enabled
4. Click Save

Upgrading

The plugin uses method="upgrade" in its manifest, so you can install a new version directly over the old one without uninstalling first. Your settings are preserved during upgrades.

To upgrade:

1. Download the new version
2. Install it the same way as a fresh install (System > Install > Extensions)
3. Your existing configuration will remain intact

Uninstalling

1. Go to System > Manage > Extensions
2. Search for Smart Local Google Analytics
3. Select the checkbox next to the plugin
4. Click Uninstall in the toolbar
